This is the original book on how to build the Locost sportscar, basically a Lotus Seven replica. It has excellent color photos of most of the steps required to build the car as well as all the dimensions for most fabricated parts. If you decide to build one, you may have to do some parts substitutions though because the book was based on using British Ford parts. If you are in the US they may be hard to find now. If you don"t know how to weld, you can obtain ready-made tube frames, nose pieces and windshields from suppliers like Kinetic Vehicles. The car can be built on other running gear if you can't find a junked-out British Ford . It also has information on how to modify suspension units for the lighter car, etc. A must buy if you plan to build your own car. even if it is your own design.

GREAT BOOK! This is really a classic of the kit-car age showing how to construct a Lotus from a cheap RWD donor.

Much better then the Chiltons version that I also own. It is expensive but very much worth it. Give a lot of insanely good info. Totally worth it for Locost fans!

Though the book does have plenty of hot bikers to keep our hearts pounding, the new characters she introduces us to as the residents of Silver Valley promise to take us on a wild ride.In this book, we get to know Puck Redhouse who we met in Reapers Stand. Puck and Painter serve fourteen months together and they develop a strong bond. I have to say the prologue seriously starts with a bang, my mouth literally dropped open at the end. Joanna really knows how to get a reader hooked."Like she was dancing through life to some song nobody else could hear. Never met another woman like her-she wasn't just sexy, she was a survivor and I admired that."This book is dark, gritty and violent at times, Becca’s situation is not a good one when we meet her. Puck saves her and she starts a new life in Callup, Idaho, he watches out for her from a far but leaves her to her life. However, when Becca needs him Puck is there to lend a hand though this time it’s on his terms. He knows she is attracted to him they certainly have a history but she’s skittish Puck is a big bad biker. Becca’s experiences with biker’s have not been good ones. Puck has his work cut out for him throughout the book convincing her that he is the one she should spend her life with, but Becca wants to live a normal life not an “MC” life like her mother. Becca has a temper and when she and Puck fight its explosive, anticipate hot angry sex.“I like playing rough Becca you push as hard as you want.”Puck stole my heart in Reaper’s Stand I liked him then and I loved him in Silver Bastard, he has a dirty mouth and a dirtier mind I loved it. Becca was a broken young girl who turned into a strong young woman but her scars ran deep and it would take a lot of healing for Becca to be able to let a man in. She had a hard enough time letting her friends in, Danielle does a good job of breaking Becca’s barriers I really liked her. I loved the characters of Blake and Danielle and I hope we get to see more of them in the series. The other characters of Silver Valley, we meet like Shane and Rourke had me wondering what their deal is can’t wait to get their stories. Its not an easy road for these two passionate, sometimes angry characters to get together. The story was an up and down emotional journey. Becca’s mom is a psycho and puts that poor girl through so much pain I wanted to stab her myself.Some of our favorites from the Reaper MC books show up like Picnic and London. Painter is having a huge crisis when it comes to Melanie. I never thought I would want Painter’s story but Joanna made me love him.When I read a Joanna Wylde book, I always know I will get a full story with characters that jump off the page. These groups of people in Callup, Idaho are no exception. I anxiously anticipate more from them.The action in Joanna’s stories keeps you on the edge of your seat. Words like thrilling, exciting and non-stop drama run through my head as I read her books. Her female characters are strong and sometimes a little crazy. Her male characters are alpha protective to a fault, gritty no nonsense type guys that hook you in and don’t let go.This turned out to be an excellent start to a new Joanna Wylde series, Fathomless is next I believe and if the bonus epilogue in Silver Bastard is any indication it will be a damn good story.RECEIVED AN ARC FROM NETGALLEY IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW

Simply put,Bloody Amazing!Joanna Wylde is like magician,when you start reading her book,it's like some spell is put on you and you can't stop from the first till the last page!Silver Bastard is in the rank of Reapers MC books,raw,gritty,hot relationship,great base story,characters with whom you can connect,understand their inner thoughts and fights,simply flows like a water,with bends on the road,but in the end you have something real,fantastic thing that stays with you.Puck & Becca are main characters,two stubborn people,and there is something special between them from the first moment they met,but it will take five years their paths to connect again in one.For some decisions taken by the Becca,can be understood why, sometimes,there is a small spark of hope that just does not want to extinguish despite all the things that you see and you've passed in your life,but in the end she will make the right decision for herself and Puck.And for the fans of Reapers MC,we have little glimpses of our favorite characters from that series :)It was a delight to read this story,to read about the connection between them,fighting with their passion and to find their common path :)And the epilog is so,so wonderful,also there is bonus epilog,but for who will be,it remains on your to discover when you decide to read this book.Prepare for another phenomenal story of Joanna Wylde!

Silver BastardI don't know what I expected from the new series, but this wasn't it. I didn't expect the series to be so damn good! Ms. Wylde just made me a lot happier and inpatient waiting for book 2 in the series. Puck and Becca are so perfect for each other and the fact that he waited 5 years to claim her. He knows she was broken, so after he saved her five years ago (when she was just 16), he waited for her to grow up before making his move. Of course, Bella fought the attraction, she didn’t want anything to do with a MC because of her past.Best of all, a few of the reapers were all over this book. Yaayyy! So, of course, the characters were great. I loved Puck from he was introduced in Reaper’s Stand and loved the friendship/brotherhood with Painter who we got to see a lot of in this book. You saw his relationship with Melanie from another perspective. This is one of the things that I love about Joanna’s writing-her ability to intertwine her stories using needle and thread.As is synonymous with Joanna’s books, non-stop action, gritty, exciting, and just a thrill ride.This book was just a roller-coaster of emotions for me. The plot was well developed, and will written… and you will just have to read it to see what I mean.

While the overall information and concepts presented in this text seem to be appropriate, I am somewhat concerned by the amount and type of errors found throughout my reading. If further editions are printed, I hope that someone spends time proofreading first. I also do not appreciate that the author's picture on the back cover suggests he is a doctor which his credentials do not. I don't think I've ever seen a speech-language pathologist wear a stethoscope, regardless of how they were dressed. I feel this could be incredibly misleading for persons outside the field of speech-language pathology. One would hope that if the author was a doctor, his book would've been proofread before publishing for the world to see. As a speech-language pathologist myself, I am disappointed in the quality of this product.

A practical and fun tool ... so very useful for clinicians/ therapists in the treatment of voice disorders.

I have had the pleasure of working with Mr. Christler and I have been using these techniques for years! They are AMAZING and my voice patients have noticed an incredible difference in their voices! I am SO GLAD that he finally published this information making these techniques available to EVERYONE! It is an easy read with clear directions! You will see AMAZING results and your voice patients/clients/students will think you are AMAZING!!

This book was dark and tragic. It was a collection of short stories dealing with incest, pedophilia and other tragic horrors for people living in Tibet. Every story was sexually related, grim, and I truly didn't get the point. I didn't find any of the stories poignant nor did I find anything about this work to be important. I had pre-ordered his latest book prior to reading this one. I cancelled the order.

I didn't realize it was going to be all short pieces.

Quirky, wonderfully evocative vignettes of TIbetan life that are quite unique. Ma Jian has a raw, elemental view of reality.

These short stories are so beautifully written that the dark subject matter is breathtaking. A little peek into a way of life that is so unlike life in America. I have recommended this book to several people. It is definitely worth reading again and again.

English translation, a very short book (<100 pg) with only 5 short stories, it has some most queer stories you do not expected from Tibet (quoted: stories with multi-generational incest, sexual abuse and ritual rape). And no wonder it is censored by the Chinese government (because it is queer and it is about Tibet). Feel really bad about Chinese censorship, and sooner or later China will have an army of ignorant people... (and yes, who give a damn about Tibet people's suffering and their want of independency, right? No we don't, because we don't even know who the hell Tibet people are.)

The stories are rich in tastes of the rawness of a world very foreign to ours. My difficulty with this book is the strong undercurrent of incest. One or two stories with this theme would have been plenty to make the point, even if incest is that predominent there.

The author's 1-STARRT tool is brilliant! I was disappointed that it wasn't introduced in earlier chapters. Most of this book is basic music theory with audio examples from musical theatre peppered throughout. I believe it is an excellent resource for classroom use or singers who are self-disciplined and motivated to study on their own.
